Breathe Easier with Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Through an individualized treatment plan, including advanced assessment, supervised exercise and education, patients learn how to manage their condition, live better and avoid future health problems.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation can reduce shortness of breath; improve endurance and increase independence and quality of life.

Who Benefits:

Patients with COPD make up the majority of patients who are referred to Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs.  However, patients with respiratory symptoms that result in decreased lung function or decreased quality of life may find the program beneficial.

For people with lung conditions, every breath can be a struggle. Missouri Delta Medical Center's Pulmonary Rehab team wants to help those individuals start breathing better.

We can help patients with:

  • COPD

  • Pulmonary Fibrosis

  • Emphysema

  • Asthma

  • Chronic Bronchitis

  • Bronchiectasis

  • Sarcoidosis

  • Pulmonary Hypertension

Pulmonary rehab is a supervised outpatient program designed to help people with chronic breathing problems to improve their daily lives and to function more independently. It includes exercise to increase strength and endurance and education on how to manage your lung condition.
