Jaycee Regional Dialysis Center
The Sikeston Jaycee Regional Dialysis
Center at Missouri Delta Medical Center officially opened  August
11, 2003. The new dialysis center, which opened with 14 stations, has
already added four additional stations the beginning of October, now totaling
18 stations. The unit currently serves peritoneal and hemodialysis patients
from all over Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois. The life-saving
dialysis treatments are offered six days a week, Monday through Saturday
with the availability of dialysis nurse on call 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week. The unit is staffed with registered nurses, licensed practical
nurses, and dialysis technicians. We are able to provide dialysis for
transient patients on a space available basis.
The two most common causes of renal or
kidne y
failure is high blood pressure (hypertension) and diabetes. Mowaffaq Said,
MD is the Medical Director for the Sikeston Jaycee Regional Dialysis Center
