Water can be a valuable tool in aiding the recovery of certain injuries and diagnoses/conditions. Our warm water therapy pool can help muscles to “relax”, and unload the stress from body weight and gravity that can make some parts of the body hurt more—such as the spine. Thus, the use of aquatic therapy can help to decrease pain and allow you to move with more ease.

The hand and upper extremity (arm) can be quite complicated when injured. The hand, wrist, and elbow consists of multiple bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, and muscles that can make injuries to these parts of the body complicated. Our team of Occupational Therapists and Certified Hand Therapists offer superb rehabilitation to not only the wrist and hand, but also the entire arm. They are skilled at treating complex tendon injuries, fractures, custom splinting for various injuries, and they have a proven track record of getting people back to doing what they love. Working closely with physicians, our team is second to none when it comes to working with the hand, wrist, elbow.

ReStart has several clinicians that are specially trained to be able to help injured workers get back to their job. Specially trained through WorkWell, these clinicians understand proper body mechanics, ergonomics, and safe work postures. Couple that with a variety of different equipment pieces to simulate work tasks—our therapists can help rehabilitate an injury and then work to make sure the patient is safe and capable to return to their job. We offer work conditioning, work hardening, and FCE’s.

We are proud to offer pediatric therapy services for physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Proper baseline testing may be performed, and the therapy will be age appropriate, fun, and parental/caregiver support is encouraged!

Offering expert care in the treatment of dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) and many other diagnoses—from pediatric speech delay to cognitive training for the elderly, we can meet your speech therapy needs. We also offer state of the art technology with FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing). This advanced level evaluation tool allows our speech therapist to pass a scope through the nostril to visualize the swallowing mechanism in color and in real time. This can be very valuable in being able to recommend a proper diet.

The spine is one part of our body that experiences a lot of stress and load throughout the day. Because of that, most people will experience back pain at some point in their lives. Our team is able to assess what is the cause of your pain through a comprehensive evaluation, then give you ways that you can help in your recovery—all while providing treatment techniques that help you get over your pain or manage it. There is not a “one size fits all” approach to treating the spine. Your treatment plan will be based on what is discovered during the initial evaluation.

Sometimes when you are an athlete, you may need sport specific training to help you get back in the game. Our staff has a proven track record of working with common sports related injuries such as ACL reconstruction and other knee ligament sprains, ankle sprains, hand/thumb/wrist and elbow injuries, shoulder instability, and more.

Sydney Newell, DPT works with women who may have pelvic pain, bowel and/or urinary incontinence, as well as pregnancy related dysfunctions. Patients are evaluated and provided an individualized treatment plan. Therapy may consist of biofeedback training help with muscle training and re-education, along with bowel and bladder training, exercise, manual therapy, and pain relief techniques.

We are so lucky to have someone in this region trained in vestibular rehab. After examining the patient and knowing all the medical tests I would run are clear, I send them to Chance White, DPT, VAM and am confident he will be able to give them the answers they need and will resolve the problem quickly!
