The Missouri Delta Medical Center Respiratory Care Department is committed to providing exceptional, around-the-clock respiratory care. Our team delivers expert respiratory support, with a primary focus on the adult intensive care unit, neonatal nursery, pediatrics, emergency department, and medical-surgical floors.
Our mission is to exceed patient expectations by delivering prompt, high-quality respiratory care while contributing to comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Respiratory Care Outpatient Services
We offer a range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including:

Pulmonary Function Testing – Comprehensive evaluations, including full pulmonary function tests (PFT), bedside spirometry, and bronchial challenge testing.

Arterial Blood Gas Analysis – Accurate assessment of oxygenation, ventilation, and acid-base balance.

Ambulatory Desaturation Study (Six-Minute Walk Test) – Measures oxygen levels and endurance during physical activity.

Genetic Testing for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (A1AD) – Screening for hereditary conditions that may contribute to lung disease.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation - Aimed at improving lung function, reducing symptoms, and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with chronic respiratory conditions.

In-Lab Diagnostic & Titration Sleep Studies and Home Sleep Studies- Diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies conducted in a controlled in-lab environment or within the comfort of home to assess and manage obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), central sleep apnea (CSA), and other sleep-related disorders, including insomnia and restless leg syndrome.

Multi Sleep Latency Testing- Diagnostic procedure designed to evaluate daytime sleepiness and identify underlying sleep disorders, such as narcolepsy and hypersomnia.
