Wound & Hyperbarics
Comprehensive Wound Care.
Most minor cuts and scratches heal naturally within two weeks. However, some wounds remain open due to factors such as poor circulation, infection, diabetes, or inadequate nutrition. At Missouri Delta Wound & Hyperbaric Center, our highly trained clinical team specializes in treating chronic, non-healing wounds, utilizing advanced techniques to promote healing and restore skin integrity.
Advanced Wound Care Techniques
Our center offers a comprehensive range of specialized treatments, including:
- Advanced Wound Dressings – Designed to create an optimal healing environment while protecting against infection.
- Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) – Utilizes a controlled vacuum within a sealed dressing to remove excess fluid, reduce swelling, and enhance blood flow to the wound. Dressings are typically changed three times per week.
- Bioengineered Tissue – Introduces living cells to the wound site, accelerating the body’s natural healing process and restoring tissue function.
- Debridement – The medical removal of damaged, infected, or non-viable tissue to improve the healing potential of surrounding healthy tissue.
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) – Delivers oxygen under high pressure to wounds that are hypoxic or ischemic, such as diabetic ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, failing grafts and flaps, necrotizing soft tissue infections, and refractory osteomyelitis.
- Total Contact Casting (TCC) – A specialized casting technique used to offload pressure from foot ulcers and other lower-extremity wounds, reducing strain and promoting faster healing. The cast, made of fiberglass or plaster, provides consistent support to the foot and lower leg while protecting the wound.
- Patient and Family Education – We empower patients, families, and caregivers with the knowledge and skills necessary for at-home wound care, promoting faster and more effective healing.
At Missouri Delta Wound & Hyperbaric Center, we are committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care using the latest advancements in wound management. Our goal is to help you heal faster and regain your quality of life.
